10 Things That Brought Me Joy This Week
A little glimpse into the moments of my week ☀️
Hi friends!
I’ve been thinking about the small things lately. The everyday moments that aren’t necessarily big milestones, but quietly shape a week. Some hard, some joyful, some random, but all meaningful in their own way.
So here are ten things that brought me joy this week!
My orange juicer. I know this sounds random, but it truly brings me joy! There is something about fresh, fresh squeezed orange juice in the morning, like a dose of sunshine ☀️ I look forward to it every morning, dare I say more than my morning coffee?? I did an embarrassing amount of research on the perfect one, this came our on top. It’s good and incredibly easy to clean.
Closing out a long, looming decision and finally having the dreaded hard conversation. It didn’t make me happy in the moment. But the after did. I felt proud - not because it was handled perfectly, or because it was easy, but because I trusted myself. I trusted that I was making the right decision for the greater good, even though it wasn’t pretty. I’m constantly reminded that the anticipation of doing something hard is almost always worse than the thing itself. We build it up in our heads. We rehearse it. We dread it. And then we do it.
And we’re stronger on the other side.My collection with M.Gemi launching!! This one feels really special. Seeing something we worked on for almost a year finally out in the world never gets old🫶🏻
Watching Grace in the talent show. There is nothing like seeing your child up on a stage.
Working out for the first time in weeks with my trainer. Why is starting again always the hardest part? It felt so good to lift weights again, although damn (!!) the soreness. When you skip a couple weeks and go back, oof!!
My favorite Marea sweater being back and seeing everyone’s reaction to it. That never stops feeling life-giving. When something you love resonates with you guys, it’s just the best feeling, and I never take it for granted, thank you all for being here and supporting Marea ❤️
Listening to Grace tell absolutely anyone who will listen that she can now ski double black diamonds. The confidence. I love it so much.
Making a new recipe with things I had in the fridge. It’s coming in my next Substack and it’s so good.
Seeing my junior designer light up while presenting her ideas for tops next spring. Watching someone step into their creativity and gain confidence is such an honor to witness!
Planning our summer photo shoot in Harbour Island. Planning the outfits for each look, getting on an airplane to somewhere inspiring and beautiful, and making the images to present our line to YOU ☀️
And lastly, William’s broken collarbone finally feeling much better!! That one has been hard. Seeing him bounce back has been such a relief!
It’s funny how a week can hold so much, and I’m so grateful for all of it 🤍
Hope you all are having a great weekend!!
xx, Liz
